Let's cut to the chase! Here's the look:

The base looks like a jelly nude shade, but it isn't. It's Butter London's Foundation Base Coat that Wendy got me for my birthday last year (thanks!). It's meant to be used as a base coat that adds a little of colour, so you'd need less coats of your actual base colour to achieve its true shade. But here, I used 2 coats of it to give my nails a sheer, jelly look. 

Then, I followed with a simple straight line down the middle. I grabbed my striping brush, held my breath, and painted them on. After that, a coat of Seche Vite seals everything nicely. I had initially planned to make it matte, but hey, someone's right about gloss lookin better. 

I'm gonna miss this one when it chips!
